I’m currently collecting some unique vintage turbans and hats from the 50s - 60’s. During this era, many European and American designers were inspired by the Eastern world in millinery (the art of making hats). I was pleasantly surprised how this silk turban perfectly matches the Christian Dior vintage silk blouse (its cowl neck I made into a head covering). Designers like YSL showed similar looks on runways and editorials in the late 70’s/early 80’s.
